I’d like to think my story is not so unique, but it seems that it is. You see, I have been married for 24 years, and that alone is rare enough in our society. But even more unusual is this fact: my husband still looks at me the way he did on our wedding night, and he has been faithful all of those years. How have we kept that spark, especially with the demands of raising four children? By building a stronger emotional bond and keeping our lovemaking exciting.
And that level of bonding is what inspired me to create and patent the For Play line of intimate clothing for males. I am a fashion designer, and my work reflects my efforts to support women in relationships. What I offer is not merely men’s lingerie, as in traditional women’s lingerie designs made to look masculine and adapted to men’s bodies. That type of clothing has been around for a long time, and it has many stigmas attached to it. Instead, I’ve developed each piece in the For Play line from a man’s perspective, so that men can hold on to special memories of the experiences they have with these unique outfits.

There’s a lot of research and thinking behind these designs. Let’s start with the differences between the sexes and how each approaches sex. Women love romance, prolonged foreplay, and being held—this is how they feel a connection with their man. But men connect through the sex act itself; above all, they love to be touched. They are also very visual, and that’s what women’s lingerie was designed for: to delight men’s eyes. Those natural inclinations of men have led to unfortunate perspectives felt by many women that male sexuality is about pornography and lewdness. Although this is unfair, it’s a hard thing to change.
That’s my mission for the For Play line: to change that kind of thinking and to even the playing field for both sexes. This is intimate clothing that is a serious romantic accessory for women to buy for men—it is not a gag gift by any means. I’m proud of the fact that women smile when they look at my designs, regardless of their personality type. So much current research shows that couples who take the time to make love regularly enjoy healthier relationships. For Play clothing helps to provide romance and build strong bonds within a loving relationship. I recommend it especially for those very special honeymoon nights, which set the tone and establish good memories to be carried throughout the marriage.
